Artist Bio

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Kirthana Selvaraj is an artist of Indian, Tamil ancestry.
Working on the unceded Gadigal and Wangal Land of the Eora Nation (Sydney, Australia), she is
interested in the politics of the marginalised body, drawing on both individual and collective
experiences. Kirthana’s practice is centred on the intersections of identity, the seen and unseen.
